Event Details
Led by music director Alasdair Neale, the New Haven Symphony Orchestra is back and welcomes you to experience their music at the Shubert Theatre! On this program, the orchestra will perform Johannes Brahms’s First Symphony, Joan Tower’s Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman, and Felix Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto with special guest violinist Alexi Kenney
Tickets are sold by NHSO and not Shubert Theatre.

Although no event can be risk-free during this pandemic, we are taking every precaution possible to ensure the safety of our audience, musicians, and staff. In order to comply with this goal and regulations set forth by local government and our performance venues, we require the following of ALL attendees at this event:
- All audience members will be required to present a photo ID and proof of full vaccination or proof of negative Covid PCR test taken within 48 hours prior to the event.

- If you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19, please stay home.
For the safety of all, anyone who is not willing or able to comply with these policies will be required to leave the event at the discretion and request of an NHSO staff member.

Show Run
The first half of the program will be the fanfare by Joan Tower (3 minutes), and then soloist Alexi Kenney will come out to play the Mendelssohn with the orchestra (15 minutes). Then there will be a 15 minute intermission. The second half of the program will be Brahms’s First Symphony (55 minutes).
