Skylar Astin began his career at the age of 16 when he made his debut as Georg in the original Broadway production of Spring Awakening before starting his career in movies and TV shows.

He is best known for portraying the role of Jesse Swanson in the "Pitch Perfect" movie franchise, winning the Teen Choice Award for Best Actor in a Comedy in 2013 and again in 2015 for "Pitch Perfect 2."

Skylar most recently starred as Todd in the hit CBS dramedy "So Help Me Todd" opposite Academy Award-winner Marcia Gay Harden. Additionally, he headlined his own sitcom, "Ground Floor," for creator Bill Lawrence, starred in the Golden Globe-nominated series "Graves" alongside Nick Nolte, and starred in the Emmy-nominated series "Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist." He also starred in the final season of the cult-hit "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" opposite Rachel Bloom.
