Students and educators from across Connecticut will gather at Shubert Theatre in New Haven for the annual Stephen Sondheim Awards. The Sondheim Awards are presented by Black Rock Theater in association with Shubert Theatre. Modeled after Broadway’s Tony Awards, the Sondheim Awards recognizes excellence in high school musical theater.
The program’s mission is to emphasize the importance of arts education by celebrating and supporting student achievement in high school musical theater. Awards will be presented in multiple categories.
