Broadway Series Update

As we approach the one-year mark since the COVID-19 global pandemic forced the shutdown of our beloved Shubert Theatre, we want you to know how much we miss live performances and how very much we miss YOU – our valued Broadway subscribers. We are counting the minutes until we can bring Broadway tours back to our stage. Until then, we wanted to give you an update on the Broadway series:

First: Broadway remains closed and Broadway tours are suspended. Once Broadway reopens and tours go back out and social distancing restrictions are relaxed, we will be able to resume performances! But, at this time, we do not have Broadway performances scheduled at the Shubert this Spring.

Second: Please know that if you are a Broadway Subscribers, your seats and payments are secure. If you purchased 2020-21 season tickets, we have noted your show selections in our database and will hold your seats until new dates are confirmed.

Third: With the full recognition that everything is subject to change, we are excited to announce that our Broadway shows originally scheduled for the 2020-21 season, have been rescheduled to the 2021-22 season (we will provide performance dates once confirmed with show producers):

  • Anastasia – October, 2021
  • Fiddler on the Roof – December, 2021
  • Waitress – March, 2022
  • Hairspray – June, 2022

A full season announcement will be made later this Spring, but we hope this advance notice puts a smile on your face!

While our box office is closed and most of our administrative staff is working remotely, the best way to reach us is by email: shubertticketoffice@capa.com. If you need to speak to someone, please call Anthony Lupinacci at 203.773.4311 if you have questions or concerns.

We can’t tell you enough how much we value your patronage and continued support. We are encouraged by the continued roll out of vaccines and are readying the theatre to ensure your comfort and safety when you return. Until then, take good care, be well, support your local restaurants and businesses, and look forward with excitement to the return of live musical theater to the Shubert!
