COVID-19 Vaccination Walk-Up Clinics

Wednesday and Thursday, May 12 & 13, 10am–4pm

The Shubert Theatre will serve as a Vaccination Walk-Up Clinic on Wednesday and Thursday, May 12 and 13 from 10:00am–4:00pm. Connecticut’s COVID-19 Mobile Vaccination Teams are on the road and coming to New Haven to provide no-cost, walk-up vaccinations to people 18 years of age and older. The highly visible yellow Mobile Vaccination SUVs, provided by the CT Department of Public Health and run by Griffin Health, can administer 100-125 shots per day in a six-hour window of time. The shots are available without appointment. It is not necessary to have health insurance or a state-issued ID:  all are welcome and no one will be turned away for lack of insurance or ID.

In order to assist residents, businesses and their employees in New Haven, the Shubert is opening its doors and lobby to provide a central and convenient location for those wishing to receive the vaccination as follows:

MODERNA VACCINE: People who already received their first dose of the Moderna vaccine during the Shubert’s April clinics will be able to receive their second dose on May 12 and 13. Those who would like to get their first dose of the Moderna vaccine are also welcome but you will need to find a location for your second dose.

JOHNSON & JOHNSON VACCINE: will also be available and requires only one dose.

The Mobile Vaccination Teams are part of the State’s effort to vaccinate as many Connecticut residents as possible.  More than half the state’s population has received at least one shot since vaccinations began at in December 2020.
