The Blind Boys of Alabama Christmas Show
Hailed as "gospel titans" by Rolling Stone, this acclaimed group performs signature vocal harmonies, new songs and holiday favorites. They will be joined by the world-renowned Preservation Hall Legacy Horns from New Orleans.
The Blind Boys rose to fame from the Alabama Institute for the Negro Blind where the original members met as children. In the seven decades since the group first began singing together, they have transcended barriers of race and genre to become one of the most acclaimed and celebrated groups in modern music, earning five Grammy Awards (plus one for Lifetime Achievement).
With their thrilling vocal harmonies and roof-raising live show, The New York Times said that they "came to epitomize what is known as jubilee singing, a livelier breed of gospel music."
